Offbeat Weddings have always been my favorite weddings to write and perform! No one is exactly alike and some couples like untraditional weddings, which I personally feel is a beautiful thing!
Memories of previous Offbeat Weddings:
This couple wanted to combine a few quirkly but delightful elements to their wedding;
The Bride was escorted down the asile by her father doing the electric slide (this was unknown to me but really fun to watch!)
The Couple wanted me to read the wedding scene from Princess Bride (minus the sluring of words which took some of the fun away from me, lol!)
They also wanted to add a little from Star Wars so my favorite line in their weddings was "You may kiss your Wookie"
I also had the honor of performing a wedding with a Steam Punk Theme. The couple did not dress up nor did they want me to dress up but some of their Guest dressed up to my delight! The costumes were beautiful and the wedding decor was fun and interesting to see. When I met this couple and they told me the theme, I could not wait until their wedding date! The couple did not hire anyone instead they set up the tables with different elements such as keys, watches, an old typewriter, butterflies and more!!
My most recent offbeat wedding was a Harry Potter themed wedding. Everyone in the bridal party (including myself!!!) wore Harry Potter Robes and each had a wand!!! The couple did not want any wording to reference Harry Potter, only the attire and the location!
I do have an upcoming wedding that really excites me as the couple loves soccer and wanted a soccer themed ceremony which will include the wording to be soccer themed.
I also have a Dr. Seuss wedding coming up which was so much fun to write! Some of the words include:
Will you take her as your wife? Will you love her all your
Will you love through good and bad? Whether you're happy or
These are some of the words that the couple has already approved. The wording is definelty unique and a fun theme to create.
What type of wedding theme do you want? Will the themeing be in the decor, the ceremony wording, or in the costumes? I would be honored to write and perform your Offbeat Wedding!!!
