Marriage License by Mail

Always and Forever Florida Weddings is authorized by the local Clerk of Courts to  coordinate marriage license by mail service. As a Wedding Coordinator for the Clerk of Courts, I offer peace of mind that your marriage license will be issued to your wedding officiant in a timely and efficient manner.

Application Requirements:


*The applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

*Applicants must complete the clerk’s information sheet and read the Family Law Handbook 

*Copies of the applicants’ identification is recommended

*Payment must be received in full and is non-refundable

*If either applicant has been previously married, Always and Forever Florida Weddings will need the exact date of the last divorce, death or annulment for the clerk of courts.

*Please make sure all the information is accurate

*Any changes to the license will incur a $50.00 license re-issue fee


Pricing:


*Pricing includes the marriage license fee from the clerk of courts, a certified copy of your marriage license, postage and handling, and a processing fee.


  


Process:

1. Fill out contact form and pay for Marriage License application

2. Upon receipt of contact information and non-refundable payment, Always and Forever Florida Weddings will email application for Marriage License to the email address given on the contact form

3. Upon receipt of application for Marriage License, Always and Forever Florida Weddings will generate the marriage license with the assistance of the Clerk of Clerks Marriage License Department. (payment is non-refundable)

3. Always and Forever Florida Weddings will review the marriage license then email the marriage license to the applicant for approval

4. The applicant must obtain a notary public to administer the following oath: “Do you swear or affirm that all the information given on this application is true and correct to the best of your knowledge and that there is no legal objection to your marriage?” 

5. The applicants will sign the application and the notary public will complete the notarial certificate by signing and sealing the application indicating that an oath was given.

6. The applicants will read the Family Law Handbook (link to the Family Law Handbook will be provided by Always and Forever Florida Weddings) and sign the required premarital statement acknowledging they have read the handbook.

7. The applicants will return the marriage license, the required premarital statement, and the notarial certificate to Always and Forever Florida Weddings.

8. Always and Forever Florida Weddings will issue the documents to the Clerk of Courts.

9. The Clerk of Courts will issue the license with an immediate effective date and the expiration date 60 days later, if they are not Florida residents, and, if they are Florida residents, the effective date will be 3 days after the issue date to Always and Forever Florida Weddings.

10. Always and Forever Florida Weddings will make arrangements to deliver the marriage license to the applicant prior to their wedding day. If Always and Forever Florida Weddings is the officiant marrying the couple, Reverend Arlene Ponack will hold the certificate and bring to the couple the day of the wedding.

11. After the Wedding Ceremony, the person performing the ceremony is required to complete the marriage license and return to the clerk of courts.

12. The Clerk of Courts will record the license and return a certified copy to Always and Forever Florida Weddings.

13. Always and Forever Florida Weddings will mail the certified copy to the married couple.
